Yamazaki 18

Yamazaki Distillery

YAMAZAKI. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN IN 1923.

The Yamazaki Distillery is Japan’s first and oldest malt whisky distillery established in 1923 by Suntory’s founder Shinjiro Torii.

Inspired by traditional Scottish whisky, Torii envisioned a Japanese approach by choosing a terrain and climate completely different to those of Scotland to create a unique kind of whisky. The Yamazaki Distillery is thus the birthplace of Japanese whisky. Nestled proudly on the periphery of Kyoto, this region was formerly referred to as “Minaseno”, where one of the purest waters of Japan originates.

Yamazaki 18 is also home to Sen no Rikyu, Master of “The Way of Tea.” Yamazaki Distillery is where the Katsura, Uji and Kizu rivers converge, providing a unique misty climate and one of Japan’s softest waters. The diversity of this region’s temperature and humidity creates ideal conditions for cask aging, known as the signature “Suntory Maturation”.

  5. Woodrow

test is really nice but bit expensive.

  6. Simone

I love this and so when I tried this I am now torn because this flavour is delicious.
I drink it with cloudy lemonade and ice.

  7. Dyanna

Was hesitant at first especially with the price of it but it far exceeded my expectations. Could drink it straight which is a rarity for me and there was a distinctive lack of hand sanitizer aftertaste seen with other vodka. Would highly recommend to others and is really nice when mixed with tropical fruit juices.

  8. Elijah

    Really nice. Tastes like Holiday

  9. Harriott

A bit expensive but quality vodka and delicious. A lovely treat for myself!

  10. Hans

One of my favourite flavours from them finished it in less than a hour, alcoholic??? Maybe.

  11. Angelle

This has to be one of my favourites
It is a little sweeter than I thought it would be but paired with ice and a splash of tonic water is perfect!
